Christian Science nurses complete Fundamentals I course

Four participants recently completed the Fundamentals I course in Tenacre’s School of Christian Science Nursing.

Topics covered included the ethics of Christian Science nursing, Bible study, introduction to mobility assistance, meeting mental needs, and mealtime assistance.

Here are some comments from the course participants:

  • We covered the full scope of what was needed.
  • The topics were approached in a logical order, and flowed well.
  • It was helpful to always start from a metaphysical standpoint.
  • I felt very well prepared for the ministry in the Christian Science nursing setting.

The Christian Science Nurse Within You!

April 8-9, 2016

We invite members of The Mother Church to a workshop to prayerfully consider what it means to love and practice the idea of Christian Science nursing – right where you are. Be our guest as we explore this and other spiritual ideas relating to the Manual By-law for the Christian Science nurse.

Longyear Presents New Historical Documentary at Tenacre, March 8

Longyear Museum is delighted to present a new historical documentary, “Follow and Rejoice”—Mary Baker Eddy: The Chestnut Hill Years. The film looks at Mrs. Eddy’s leadership of the Christian Science movement, her achievements during the three years she lived at Chestnut Hill, the challenges she surmounted, and her continuing guidance through the Church Manual.

On Tuesday, March 8th, Tenacre will be hosting a showing of the film in the Tenacre Chapel for the local church communities.

New Class Starts in the Tenacre School of Christian Science Nursing

We welcome participants to our Fundamentals I course. From January 15th to March 25th we’ll be exploring the foundational standards, ethics, and skills of Christian Science nursing. Our participants come from New York, New Jersey, Virginia, and Kenya.
