Our philanthropy ministry is an outreach of God’s love for all humanity. Because Tenacre is primarily a Christian Science nursing organization, we strive for our philanthropy ministry to express the same tender, healing care for everyone that a Christian Science nurse brings to individuals.
Like Christian Science nursing, we think of philanthropy as church work that heals sin, disease, and death for the world.
Tenacre was given a trust fund in gratitude for the Christian Science nursing received by the benefactor’s family member. The funds of this trust are for philanthropic, charitable and educational purposes.
We do not have a formal grant process and do not begin with an application, but rather by invitation or by individual conversations. We welcome building long-term relationships and facilitating partnerships with not-for-profit organizations. Making these connections elevate thought and support the unfoldment of new possibilities that result in healing, the rebuilding of communities, and the progress of thought for the greater good of all humanity. We expect spiritual prayer and inspiration to guide us to the Christian Science and other not-for-profit organizations that we become associated with.
Beyond Christian Science not-for-profits a recent area of interest is pre-K through 12th grade education.
